Swan Mary

• Positioned on the corner of Swan and Mary street this former milk bar was transformed back into a small Victorian boutique shop and rear subdivided into two lots consisting of a three storey townhouse on each. Located in a mix use area consisting of industrial, retail and mostly small single fronted Victorian homes the design intent was to have a robust and utilitarian interface with the street and utilizing the height of the building to take advantage of the views of the city and Dandenongs from above. The townhouses have the sleeping areas sandwiching the middle living zone breaking up the transitions over three levels.
