Canterbury House
Located in an established leafy street of Canterbury and surrounded by mock period homes the clients had felt it was imperative to keep the existing Federation bungalow period home although various renovations had destroyed the original form of the house. On this basis the existing front house was overhauled and simplified and the majestic front rooms were renovated in line with the style of the period. A dramatic and modern addition was added to the rear of the existing house opening up the house up to the substantial back garden. Along with this there was a complete overhaul of the garden, the addition of a car park basement and a separate rear bungalow for long term staying guests.
